When a student received a Canada or an Integrated Provincial Student loan disbursement, we mailed a Welcome letter that gave them specific information about their student loan (including details of their recent student loan disbursement, and when their study end date would be).
Moving forward, the Welcome letters will no longer be mailed to the student. A new information notice, called a Funding Confirmed notice will appear in the student’s secure online mailbox within the NSLSC On-Line Services website. All emails for those students that wish to receive communications in English will be sent with the sender name NSLSC Information Service.
All emails for those students that wish to receive communications en français will be sent with the sender name Service d'information du CSNPE. These, as well as any new communications moving forward that appear in the secure online mailbox will automatically generate an email to the student from [email protected] advising that they should promptly check their secure online mailbox for new information (if the NSLSC has an email address on file).
If a student does not have an account with NSLSC On-Line Services when important information should be reviewed, an email will be sent to the email address we have on file for the student. The email will advise that action is required and to encourage the student to complete a registration to NSLSC On-Line Services to receive important information.
This information is significant to you as students may come to you wondering if the emails they are receiving from NSLSC On-Line Services are legitimate. Over the next several months, we will begin to transition other types of information that would normally be mailed to the student’s secure online mailbox on the NSLSC On-Line Services website. For your reference, we have attached images of the emails that we will be sending to students on a move-forward basis. This will help encourage students working with you to use the online resources available to them and give them peace of mind that they are receiving communications regarding their student loans from a genuine source.
