   Central
The Seneca Student Federation Inc. (SSF Inc.) is your incorporated representative at Seneca College.

The SSF Inc. is made up of local council representative that consist of elected students who serve a one-year term office, filling a number of openings for executive positions and for class or divisional representative.

It is the goal of every council to offer a wide range of programs and services to its constituent students, and to represent the needs and concerns of students to college administration.

Another key mandate of each local council is the administration and equitable expenditure of the student activity fee; all students pay an activity fee which is administered by the student government, as well as an SAA fee administered by the Student Athletic Association (SAA) for Varsity and recreational programs. The activity fee covers the cost of programs, services and administrative costs of the council.

Each council has the mandate of providing programs and services which are most needed by its campus; it’s not just pubs anymore! Cultural, educational, social and recreational programs are all made available depending on the interests of the students. Programs are run to involve as many students with as many interests as possible. It's up to you to make sure your council hears your concerns and interests.

Seneca has its own student newspaper, The Buzz, which provides a forum for all students to voice their views and stay informed on Seneca's happenings. Other campuses also offer a regular publication which updates students on campus specific activities. Another source of information on campus is the radio station operating out of the Newnham Campus.

Student leaders are also trained to serve as advocates on behalf of the Seneca College student body. By participating in workshops facilitated by the Student Services Department, student leaders learn how to resolve conflicts through interest-based methods of negotiation. They are available to advise you on College policies and procedures and provide guidance on how to resolve both individual and group issues.

Student governments at Seneca play an important role in creating a well-rounded college experience. It's your Student Council, so take advantage of the services and programs at your campus. Make sure your individual or class interests are heard by your council. You may even consider getting involved with your Student Council. It's a great leadership experience waiting for you!
